Overview
Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), Band 6, to join the integrated Mental Health Team at HMP Forest Bank. This role provides evidenced-based low-intensity interventions and psycho-educational groups to adult male service users involved with the criminal justice system, within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care. The post holder will oversee the Step 2 provision, offering clinical and managerial supervision to qualified and trainee PWPs and contribute to service development, audit and innovative practice.
Responsibilities
* Provide low-intensity, evidence-based psychological interventions including guided self-help and delivery of group interventions for service users within HMP Forest Bank.
* Carry out thorough assessments, risk management and care planning in line with Trust policies.
* Organise and manage own caseload, including screening and accepting referrals, and ensure accurate record keeping and outcome monitoring.
* Oversee the Step 2 provision, offering clinical and managerial supervision to PWPs and trainees, and supporting service development and audit activities.
* Actively contribute to multidisciplinary working across the prison and wider services, liaise with partner agencies and promote access to psychological support for a diverse service user population.

Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: Be BABCP or BPS registered as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
* Experience as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
* Desirable: Worked in a Criminal Justice Setting
* Has completed the training to gain accreditation as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
