About the Role:
Cover People are currently recruiting for an Art and Design Teacher to join a supportive and creative secondary school in Oldham, starting from September 2026 for a full term as a minimum.
This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators to inspire and engage students across KS3 and KS4. ECTs will benefit from a supportive induction and mentoring programme, while experienced teachers will have the opportunity to contribute to a thriving and collaborative department.
M1 M6 Teachers will be paid to scale from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
. Deliver high:quality Art and Design teaching in line with national curriculum standards
. Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and GCSE Art and Design
. Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
. Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
. Support the academic and personal development of all learners
. Contribute positively to department planning and wider school initiatives
Requirements:
. QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
. Experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Art and Design
. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
. A passion for teaching and pupil progress
. Right to work in the UK
