Global Trade Compliance Manager Permanent - £100-125K Hybrid 4 days in London HQ Our client is a global leader in their industry with products used across global markets and manufacturing operations in multiple locations; US, Europe, Brazil, India and China. The responsibilities of the position (and, therefore expected experience) include, but are not limited to, the following: Global Trade Compliance & Export Controls Free Trade Agreements, Origin & Customs Programs Regulatory Strategy, Monitoring & Advisory Broker, Vendor & Government Agency Management Audit, Risk Management & Governance Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Chemistry, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field. 7 years of progressive experience in global trade compliance, export controls, customs, and regulatory affairs ideally - within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated hands-on experience managing SAP GTS (or equivalent global trade management system), including export/import worklists, SPL screening, HS classification, ECCN/EAR determinations, and legal control releases. Strong working knowledge of global trade regulations, including: EAR / EAR99, ECCN classification, Commerce Control List (CCL) HS classification, customs valuation, and country of origin USMCA, ZFTA, and other Free Trade Agreements TSCA import/export certifications (Sections 12 & 13) EEI filings, ACE, CF28/CF29 responses Proven experience partnering with customs brokers, freight forwarders, consultants, and government agencies to resolve complex trade issues and maintain compliance. Experience leading or supporting trade compliance audits, recordkeeping programs, and regulatory reviews. Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory changes and translate them into practical, business-aligned guidance. Preferred Qualifications Prior ownership of FTA qualification programs, including supplier qualification, audit support, and SAP/GTS configuration. Experience managing customs drawback programs, duty recovery, and duty payment processes. Exposure to deemed export controls, Technology Control Plans, and cross-functional coordination with HR and IT. Experience managing broker KPIs, rate negotiations, POA renewals, and customs bond renewals. Familiarity with Descartes regulatory content, SAP ERP, ACE, and broker portals.
