Sales Manager – AntennaWare Limited
Antennaware is a spin out from QUB and has carried out research in the area of antenna design for 20 years, holding patents for what one of its customers describes as "the first advancement in antenna design in 70 years". In an increasingly wirelessly connected world, every device needs at least 1 antenna - advanced devices in the areas of wearable technology, sports, health, IOT and secure communications encounter significant signal & data connectivity challenges at the higher frequencies they need to operate at, which are overcome by the BodyWave antenna from AntennaWare.
We have a dynamic and fast-moving Engineering, Sales and Marketing team and now wish to recruit a Sales Manager to drive growth by developing sales opportunities in both component supply and NRE / Consultancy applications. The primary role of this additional member will be to target new customers, manage existing customers, convert incoming leads and develop new business relationships. We are emerging from the first round of customer engagements and have secured a number of significant design wins. The new Sales Manager will be expected to understand how to scale business via channels partners, Distributors, ODM's, strategic RF SOC vendors and module suppliers.
As a flat organisation, the Sales Manager will report to Commercial Director and the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the complete sale cycle from identifying opportunities, generating leads, qualifying, coordinating and executing sales and proposal activities. Includes coordinating with appropriate internal resources to participate in business development, sales, financial forecasting, proposal generation and contract negotiation / closing activities.
· Develop account relationships at all account levels and coordinates with Antennaware management to assist in identifying and capturing new opportunities on existing contracts.
· Tasks include:
o Assume lead role in developing, managing and updating an opportunity and sales pipeline.
o Qualify opportunities and Close sale
o Plan, write, oversee and submit proposals for business opportunities in response to customer solicitations.
o Manage contract negotiation process to closure.
o Build and nurture strategic relationships with key prospects
o Manage, tracks, assists and reviews leads from trade shows and other sources.
o Attend trade shows, conferences and symposiums as an Antennaware representative. Ability to represent Antennaware as a speaker at these events.
o Develop relationships within target companies through cold-calls, site visits and leveraging existing networking relationships.
o Uncover potential sales opportunities to differentiate Antennaware as a vendor within accounts.
o Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
o Record all information and maintain updated information in companies CRM system (Hubspot)
Requirements:
· A strong comprehension of RF Engineering and multiple wireless standards including DECT, Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB, etc.
· Superior professional presence and business acumen.
· Exceptional written and oral communication skills including presentation skills and ability to plan, coordinate and effectively lead customer meetings.
· Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
· Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and ability to lead.
· Ability to read, analyse, interpret and respond to large RFP/RFQ opportunities.
· Experience and contacts within the technology industry.
· Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis
· Prepare and present accurate weekly, monthly and annual sales reports.
· Contribute to annual budget
