Project Details

The project is a Paper Mill located in Shotton, Wales. The employer is open to both - permanent and temporary contract work depending on suitable candidates.

This is a full-time site-based position.

More details about this exciting project will be provided to shortlisted candidates.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Responsible for end-to-end procurement, including tendering, sourcing, and supplier / contract management,
2. Identify and put into effect the measures by analyzing the necessary risks and opportunities for reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO),
3. Analyze supplier and subcontractor offers and interpret the most appropriate purchasing goal,
4. Carry out negotiations with suppliers, coordinate the local contracts with the Project Manager, to obtain approval for contracts from the Main Office Contracts and Procurement Departments
5. Creating new material alternatives and checking the usability of these materials in the project with the Technical Office Department,
6. Deliver on time the orders of materials needed by the construction site with making sure the material must be quality approved,
7. Coordinate and execute logistics and imports process with Head Office Procurement Department
8. Continually track the supply market, keeping abreast of developments, trends, risks, and opportunities, leading the continual engagement with existing and potential suppliers and ahead of external market factors.
9. Check the warehouse activities (consumables, goods receipt, transfer)
10. Prepare related procurement reports/presentation.

Desired Skills and Experience

11. Minimum 5 years of experience
12. Preferably with knowledge of the UK Market
13. ERP software experience - preferably SAP
14. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
15. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
16. Stakeholder and supplier management
17. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills,
18. Preferably Candidates will have Factory or Industrial Plant Experience
19. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
20. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

21. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Procurement Experience in Mechanical & Electrical Contracting Projects

22. £6,000 gross salary per month – Negotiable based on experience
