Mercian Labels is seeking to strengthen our team through the appointment of a Technical Sales Administrator/ Order Processor. Using our bespoke pricing and order processing system you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate quotations and processing technical orders in a timely fashion.

Full training and support will be provided by our friendly team. You will be office based, working from our state of the art headquarters in Burntwood Staffordshire. In addition to a competitive salary our team also benefit from:

Main Responsibilities:

* Providing accurate and timely quotations ensuring the most economically advantageous method is selected
* Process accurate orders for production
* Be able to problem solve and find solutions to produce labels as specified
* Working alongside and communicating requirements to pre-press & production departments
* Undertaking all administrative duties appropriate to the role
* Taking responsibility for investigating departmental non-conformance
* Providing technical support to other departments
* Professionaly liaise and speak directly to customers and colleagues as and when required and support when necessary
* Ensuring all departmental KPIs are met including 100% accuracy for order processing
* Fulfilling tasks to support the business plan

Skills & Experience

* Experience working in a technical administrative role in a fast paced manufacturing /distribution environment is essential
* Strong IT skills and attention to detail are essential
* Knowledge and understanding of print/print production are desirable
* Excellent organisational, telephone and administrative skills are crucial for this role
* Strong numerical ability
* A team player with excellent communication skills
* Flexible approach and the ability to work calmly and rationally, adhering to tight timescales
* Ability to manage and prioritise tasks efficiently and work under pressure
* Polite and professional with a friendly and helpful attitude
* Commercial acumen and strong understanding of profitability
* A passion for continuous improvement
* Prepared to learn new skills

Qualifications/Education/Training:

* High level of computer literacy; Word; Excel
* Accurate typing/ Word processing
* GCSE English & Maths

Experience:

* working for a manufacturing organisation: 1 year (preferred)
* working in a busy, fast paced environment: 1 year (preferred)
* order processing: 1 year (required)
