Job Role
1. To manage the assignment in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client.
2. To ensure audit quality at all times.
3. To brief staff on the client’s business and the pre-assignment instructions, supervise and control the completion of work, and undertake ‘on the job’ training and appraisals where necessary.
4. To ensure that the job is completed within budget.
5. To liaise with the client throughout the year.
6. To ensure appropriate liaison with all other departments.
7. To develop a detailed knowledge of the firm’s specialist services.
8. To perform the firm’s review and completion procedures, attend the final meeting with the client, and ensure that the client receives the final accounts and management letter on a timely basis.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
Candidates must be ACA or ACCA qualified. First or second time passes preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience operating at manager level in a similar role is required.
Proven experience in client handling and producing high-quality audits.
Audit experience from a practice background, especially with Owner Managed Business, Academies, and Corporate clients, would be advantageous.
Experience of analytical review approach and business development interest would be a distinct advantage.
Performance of others through the annual performance review process is also desirable.
