Role Overview - Pastoral & Learning Support Assistants - Wigan
As a Pastoral/Learning Support Mentor, you will be a key member of the school's pastoral and learning team, working closely with students, staff, and families to provide targeted interventions that promote emotional well-being, engagement, and academic success. You will support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment. You will be expected to support the academic progress of students in the calssroom.
What We're Looking For - Pastoral & Learning Support Assistants
Experience working with children
A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
Strong communication skills to engage with students, teachers, and families
Organisational skills to maintain accurate records of interventions
A positive and empathetic approach, with the ability to work under pressure
Willingness to contribute to assessment, planning, and intervention processes under the guidance of the Pastoral Manager
