Role Overview:
We are seeking several IT Solution Architects to join the team in Bristol.
As an IT Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering complex end-to-end solutions using a variety of applications and technologies within the supply chain management domain.
This role will ensure that the solution architecture meets the key project functional and non-functional requirements identified for the LCST programme. The IT Solution Architect will lead the solution development through all phases of the delivery lifecycle, from requirements capture, high-level design, low-level design, development, to release and solution sustainment.
You will support the Head of Architecture on various design decisions, including:
* Solution evaluation: buy vs. build vs. reuse
* Platform selection
* Ensuring compliance with all design principles and architecture frameworks
* Ensuring compliance with technical, security, customer, and regulatory standards
* Supporting customer and stakeholder meetings and technical discussions
Skills Required:
* Experience as a Solution Architect on large, complex customer projects
* Production of cross-domain (Business, Application Data, Infrastructure, Security) architecture deliverables such as proposal designs, high-level designs, and interface specifications
* Experience with bespoke and COTS applications
* Knowledge of integration concepts and technologies like SOA, ESBs, EAI, XML, Web Services, MQ
* Experience working with large-scale, distributed event-driven architectures
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-supplier/vendor environment
* Strong consulting, leadership, and mentoring skills, with effective communication and collaboration abilities at all levels
* Broad knowledge of application technologies, platforms, and tools including web systems, databases, middleware, security, and infrastructure
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
* Strong analytical and technical skills
* Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or extensive relevant experience
* Experience in logistics/supply chain solutions using modern systems such as Integration Platforms, Manufacturing/Repair systems, Warehouse Management, Transport Management, Order Management, Inventory Management, ERP, Procurement, Data Analytics, and MI systems
* Experience with TOGAF/MODAF is desirable
* Experience with Archimate
* Experience working in a CMMI level 3 environment
Clearance Requirements:
* BPSS Pre-screening required to start
* SC clearance required for the role
