About The Role
Were looking to recruit a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our Estates and Devolved Operations Team which is focussed on ensuring the health and safety of our staff and everyone who comes into contact with our work. This means that as well as our offices, we need to ensure that we identify and manage risks associated with travel, events and all activities, internal and external, whether WWF-UK led, or as part of a wider group.
As Health and Safety Coordinator, you will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that all staff appreciate their responsibilities in this area, are aware of their obligations, and understand (and follow) the relevant procedures for activities in which they are involved. You will act as the first point of contact for the Health and Safety team and coordinate responses to Health and Safety queries as well as provide guidance in line with legislation and best practice. You will liaise with external agencies as needed too. In addition to providing administrative support, you will also produce reports and management information for various audiences and maintain online systems.
Were Looking For Someone With
* Proven experience in a health and safety role, with a good understanding of fundamentals.
* Experience of working effectively in a matrix management structure
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practice
* Experience, or knowledge, of risk assessment and data protection legislation
* Strong communication, interpersonal and planning skills.
* The ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload.
We anticipate first interviews to take place w/c 16th June.

This role is hybrid and youll be required to be in the office 20% of your contracted hours. The job is based at our UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey. The Living Planet Centre is one of the greenest buildings in the UK, and youll hot desk among trees and gardens.
