Management Accountant (FCSF14)
Contract: Fixed term, working 35 hours per week. The Arts Council recognises flexible working.
Salary: £38,009 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: Manchester. Hybrid working allows remote work combined with on‑site contact days (1–2 days a week).
Overview
We are seeking a Management Accountant to work in a small team providing reporting and financial management services to budget holders and contributing to the overall financial control and analysis of the organisation.
Responsibilities & Duties
Provide clear financial information, advice and guidance to a range of audiences; manipulate data using advanced Excel tools; undertake budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc financial analyses; support financial control and analysis for the organisation; collaborate with budget holders across the organisation.
Essential Qualifications
* Experience in generating and communicating detailed financial information, advice and guidance to a range of audiences.
* Experience in manipulating data using advanced Microsoft Office Excel tools.
* Experience of budgeting and forecasting.
* Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
* Knowledge of SAP, Business Central or similar financial systems.
* Experience of undertaking ad‑hoc financial analyses.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
* Ability to juggle multiple duties while working to tight deadlines.
Additional Requirements
* Fully AAT qualified, Part‑Qualified with an accountancy body (CCAB) or equivalent experience.
* Experience of working in a similar environment.
