The Wendy House Day Nursery was founded by Victoria Vann, who began her career as a nursery nurse at age 16. Victoria's ethos is to create a vibrant, stimulating environment where children can thrive. She is passionate about early years education and continuous improvement, always striving to provide activities beyond the core curriculum to motivate and inspire children.
Upon starting, you will develop into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential for a permanent position upon successful completion. There are also opportunities to progress into other childcare roles, such as social work, teaching, or management.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing engaging activities that promote learning through fun
* Supporting children's development, including planning and observations
* Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources
* Preparing food for breakfast, snacks, and afternoon tea
* Supporting children's self-help needs
* Being creative and enthusiastic
* Following safeguarding protocols
* Undertaking First Aid training as required
* Participating in training to meet new standards or legal requirements
* Maintaining health and hygiene standards
* Gaining a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification upon completion
* Training is delivered remotely via Teams, with support from your tutor and site visits
* Weekly online training sessions for the first 8 weeks, scheduled as needed
* Completing a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course
Applicants should be flexible to meet the needs of the business, with shifts Monday to Friday. Shift times will be confirmed.
