We are looking for a full-time 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to work with a student with autism in a supportive and well-established school setting. This role is about providing consistent, practical support to help one pupil engage with learning, manage routines, and feel secure throughout the school day. The role will involve: Providing 1:1 support for a student with autism in the classroom and around the school Helping the pupil access learning in a way that works for them Supporting communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation Working closely with class teachers and the SEND team Maintaining a calm, structured, and predictable approach We are looking for someone who: Has experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, including autism, or is keen to develop this experience Is patient, reliable, and consistent Can follow guidance while using their own judgement when needed Works well as part of a team Previous school experience is helpful but not essential. This role would suit someone from a care, youth work, or support background, as well as experienced teaching assistants.
