We are looking for a designated 1:1 member of staff supporting a child within the setting with 1:1 support. At times, you may be required to work as part of a team with other children in the environment, supporting the staff team where required. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* To work with the Team Leader, SENCO and child's key person in ensuring all planning is effective for the child and that relevant documentation is completed and evaluated and shared as appropriate with multi-agency professionals.
* Ensuring that the safeguarding and welfare of the children is always paramount in the Nursery.
* Promoting good practice and being a good role model for other staff and children
* To be aware of and comply with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant SEN/D policies, processes and legislation.
In addition, you will be confident with and have experience of providing an excellent care, You will have a good understanding of health and safety requirements and have a genuine enthusiasm for working with children. We need someone with good communication, has a passion for being creative and enjoys sensory play.
