Senior Team Leader
Region: Stoke-on-Trent ( ST1 )
Key Responsibilities
* Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of yard workers, ensuring efficient workflow and high productivity
* Operations Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including loading/unloading timber, stock management, and maintaining yard cleanliness
* Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
* Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate record-keeping
* Customer Service: Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues
* Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
* Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on yard operations, inventory status, and team performance
Salary
£17.96 per hour (£36,500 per annum). All overtime X1.66
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday - Rotating
* Week 1: 06:00 to 14:00
* Week 2: 14:00 to 22:00
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role within a timber yard or related industry
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
* Proficiency in using inventory management systems and other relevant software
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions
