Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Dual Site Location: Flintshire, Denbighshire
Pay Range/Details: £37,500–£45,000 per year (based on skills, experience, and enthusiasm)

Our client are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in North Wales. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will operate across both their Flint and St Asaph locations, ensuring the seamless maintenance, repair, and operation of manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on plastic injection moulding machines, extrusion lines, and supporting equipment like chillers, robots, granulators, and air compressors
• Identify and fix electrical faults, including issues with PLCs, control systems, and other electronic components to maintain smooth operations
• Perform routine inspections to prevent equipment failures and suggest upgrades to boost performance
• Work alongside production teams to reduce downtime, enhance machinery reliability, and keep detailed digital records of all maintenance tasks
• Provide comprehensive daily activity logs and weekly progress updates to document tasks, challenges, and plans for further improvements
Qualifications & Requirements – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Recognised qualifications or hands-on experience with plastic injection moulding, extrusion lines, or comparable industrial machinery (e.g., NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent vocational certifications)
• Strong skills in electrical systems, including PLC programming and fault-finding, with knowledge of mechanical systems being a bonus
• Comfortable using digital tools like computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) for accurate record-keeping
• Sharp problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and a collaborative approach to teamwork
• Equivalent qualifications or experience welcomed to accommodate candidates with varied educational backgrounds, such as international credentials or O-levels
