Are you a relationship-driven professional with a knack for spotting commercial opportunities? We are a leading managed service provider delivering seamless telecoms and IT solutions to businesses of all sizes. We are looking for a motivated Desk-Based Account Manager to join our fast-paced, team-driven environment in Northampton.


The Role

As a Desk-Based Account Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers. This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys commercial conversations and relationship management without the pressure of a pure "hunter" sales role.


Key Responsibilities

* Customer Retention: Act as the primary commercial point of contact, ensuring contracts are renewed on time and building strong, long-term relationships.
* Growth & Strategy: Identify and qualify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to deepen customer relationships and grow revenue.
* End-to-End Renewals: Own the renewal process, clearly explaining contract terms and positioning enhanced solutions where suitable.
* Business Development: Support growth through networking events, exhibitions, and proactive outreach to generate new leads.
* CRM Excellence: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, renewals, and pipeline forecasts.


What You’ll Bring

* Experience: At least 2 years of B2B account management experience.
* Communication: You are a clear and influential communicator, especially over the phone.
* Tech Savvy: You are highly proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable using CRM systems.
* Mindset: You are customer-focused, self-motivated, and possess a solutions-led approach to problem‑solving.
* Organization: You can manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining high standards of numeracy and literacy.
