TXM Recruit are supporting a leading safety and assurance consultancy delivering across nuclear, defence, and high-hazard environments, including submarine and naval programmes.
They are now looking to appoint a Nuclear SafetyLead Defence to drive growth, lead delivery, and build capability within their Bristol team. The Opportunity
This is a strategic leadership role within a growing defence nuclear business.
Youll play a key part in:
* Expanding defence frameworks and opening new client relationships
* Leading delivery of complex nuclear safety and assurance projects
* Providing technical leadership across submarine and defence platforms
* Building and scaling a high-performing Bristol team
* This is an opportunity to shape a business unit and influence major UK defence programmes.
What Youll Be Doing
* Leading safety case and assurance across the full lifecycle
* Providing technical leadership in safety-critical environments
* Managing projects, teams, and key client relationships
* Supporting business growth through bids and strategic engagement
What Theyre Looking For
* Significant safety management experience in nuclear / defence environments
* Chartered / CEng (preferred)
* Strong background in submarines / naval systems
* Ideally ex-Royal Navy or similar pathway
* Proven leadership across people, projects, and clients
* Deep expertise in:
o Nuclear safety case
o Defence standards & regulation
o Complex engineering systems
