The Emergency Department at Cambridge university hospital is looking for a proactive, reliable and efficient Equipment and Admin Coordinator. You will be passionate about patient safety and key to the role is ensuring the clinical teams in the Emergency department have the equipment and stores they need to care for the patients.
The Emergency department is a busy and sometimes pressured work environment, you must be able to work at pace and respond to emergency requests. Prioritisation of your workload will be a key skill as will building relationships within the department and with key stakeholders.
You will keep people safe by regular equipment maintenance checks and support the clinical and operational team making sure the department is clean, stocked and organised.
Main duties of the job
To deliver and maintain professional administration assistant and equipment provision to the Emergency Department’s (ED) nursing and operational management team, whilst working alongside the Reception / secretariat / CDU team members.
Providing administrative support to the service of the department, e.g. patients, colleagues and consultants.
To ensure the equipment provision within the ED is continuously maintained to a safe and acceptable standard, according to national and Trust guidelines.
