Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Project Scheduler and Controller. The Project Scheduler and Controller is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, costs, and performance. The role supports Project Managers by providing accurate project data, forecasts, and analysis to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using approved scheduling tools
* Define work breakdown structures (WBS), activities, dependencies, and milestones
* Monitor schedule progress and identify potential delays or critical path impacts
* Track project progress, costs, and resource usage against approved baselines
* Perform variance analysis (schedule, cost, and performance)
* Monitor earned value metrics (if applicable) and project KPIs
* Communicate risks, issues, and trends to Project Managers and stakeholders
* Support management decision-making with reliable project data
* Assist in identifying project risks related to schedule and cost
* Track mitigation actions and their impact on project plans
* Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams
* Ensure project controls follow company standards, procedures, and best practices
* Support audits and project reviews as required
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in project scheduling and/or project controls
* Project Management Certification desired.
* Minimum of 3 years experience working within a project management environment
* Exposure to cost control, planning, or reporting functions
* Understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle
* Proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Project Web App or equivalent)
* Strong Excel skills; experience with reporting dashboards is an advantage
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Clear communication and reporting skills
* Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
