This Position reports to: Sales Support Manager As a Graduate Electrical Studies Engineer within ABB’s Energy Industries business, you will support the sales and studies teams in developing and delivering robust electrical power system solutions for a wide range of customers. The role provides hands-on exposure to power system modelling, analysis and engineering design across both traditional and low-carbon generation projects, working collaboratively with sales, engineering and operations teams. This position offers an excellent foundation for building strong technical capability alongside commercial awareness within a global engineering organisation. Your Role and Responsibilities In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. - Work model: onsite at our St Neots, Cambridgeshire location {LI-Onsite} Aiding sales & studies team colleagues in delivering electrical power system designs and recommending optimum solutions. Design and develop models of power system infrastructure including traditional and low-carbon generation sources to a variety of loads. Conduct load flow, short-circuit, harmonics, protection coordination and other relevant simulations using tools such as Powerfactory, PSCAD, ETAP Liaising with Operations teams to execute detailed engineering designs. Prepare technical specifications and equipment standards and support procurement processes. Create well structured and detailed reports using results of simulations and other calculations Qualifications for the Role Bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and understanding of electrical network components Capability to perform engineering calculations and interpret technical drawings.
