What you’ll be doing

1. Own and deliver Technical Projects from requirements gathering to live implementation.
2. Ensure delivery scope is achievable and understood.
3. Produce robust and actionable delivery plans.
4. Design and drive improved working processes.
5. Effectively manage and control changes to the delivery.
6. Ensure all impacted teams understand, engage with and commit to delivery plans, both internally and externally.
7. Identify, manage and drive prerequisites or dependencies that may be external to the team but upon which we rely.
8. Track and manage delivery finances.
9. Timely identification of deliveries at risk and corrective action to resolve.
10. Communication with senior managers and stakeholders.
11. Act as buddy on activities undertaken by more junior or less experienced members of the team.
12. Ensuring assets are registered in a timely manner
13. Ensuring Legal and Regulatory compliance is maintained and that BT safe working practices are always applied.
14. Hold regular commercial review meetings with suppliers and internal BT stakeholders to facilitate progress, supplier performance and improvement opportunities.
15. Produce regular reports @ progress and performance of suppliers against agreed delivery and financial targets.
16. Contribute to supplier selection.
17. Manage supplier engagement for your deliveries.
18. Support engagement with suppliers on solution requirements.
19. Manage supply contracts.
20. Complete or assist on Investment Business Cases
21. Prioritise H&S in designing and delivering project plans.

Experience you'll have

Mandatory

22. Expertise in medium to large scale technical delivery.
23. Evidence of complex decision making and problem solving.
24. Understanding of complex time/cost/quality trade-offs.
25. Robust communication style and stakeholder mgmt.
26. Understanding of the types of questions seniors will ask.
27. Understanding of what strong root cause analysis is.
28. Track-record of leading matrixed teams.
29. Experience of working within diverse environments.
30. Track record of embedding positive team cultures.
31. Active Issue and Risk Management.
32. Experience of managing budgets and financial reporting.

37. PRINCE
38. APM

43. Delivering business benefit in a timely way by focusing on must do capability and delivering effective e2e solutions.
44. Issue and Risk Management.

48. Experienced in technical delivery of large-scale complex projects across multiple methodologies.

50. Experience in solving complex problems that arise from the interaction of multiple components and teams.
51. Ability to influence and resolve conflicts associated with varying priorities and agendas across involved parties.
52. Strong commercial awareness regarding decision impacts.
