We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded firm based in Leicester who are looking to bring a Graduate Tax Assistant into their growing tax team. This role is ideal for a graduate who’s curious about tax, enjoys working with numbers, and wants to build a long-term career in professional services. You’ll be supported by experienced tax professionals and exposed to a wide range of clients and work from day one.
What you’ll be doing
Supporting senior members of the tax team with:
Personal and corporation tax returns
P11D returns and benefits reporting
Assisting with tax compliance for a varied client base, including:
Sole traders
Partnerships
Limited companies
Responding to client queries and liaising with HMRC under guidance
Getting involved in tax planning and advisory work as you develop
Helping ensure deadlines are met and work is completed accurately
What we’re looking for
A recent graduate (or equivalent) in:
Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or similar
A genuine interest in tax and professional services
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good communication and organisational skills
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
Previous experience is not essential - attitude and potential matter more
