I'm working with a leading university in the South of England that's looking for an Operations Manager to support the launch and day-to-day running of a brand-new student residence opening in Summer 2025 .
This role is ideal for someone experienced in residential or hospitality operations, who thrives in people-facing environments and wants to play a key part in shaping the student experience from day one. You'll lead a front-of-house team, manage third-party FM relationships, and be the go-to person for daily operations in a large-scale hall of residence with 676 student bedspaces.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:
Day-to-day operational management in residential, hospitality, or facilities settings
Line management and rota planning for front-of-house or reception staff
Working with third-party providers (FM, housekeeping, or maintenance)
Incident response (fire safety, evacuations, maintenance issues)
Budget awareness and cost control in large service environments
Experience using property management or facilities systems
Experience working in or alongside higher education (desirable)
