Job Advert: 360 Excavator Operator : Immediate Start in Carlisle
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria (CA6 area)
Start Date: ASAP (Immediate Start)
Duration: 8‑10 Week Contract (with potential for extension)
Hourly Rate: GBP20.00–GBP23.00 per hour (DOE)
The Role
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a 360‑degree excavator on‑site, performing essential groundwork duties for the development of a new commercial building (Burger King).
Key Responsibilities
* Operate the 360 Excavator (likely above 10 tonne) safely and efficiently.
* Dig concrete foundations, trenches, and general excavation.
* Break out and move materials, including tarmac and rubble.
* Assist with lifting operations (if certified and required).
* Work closely with groundworkers and site management to keep the project on schedule.
* Conduct daily plant checks and report any defects.
Requirements
* Valid CPCS or NPORS card with the relevant 360 Excavator ticket (above 10 tonne highly desirable).
* Demonstrable experience operating a 360 Excavator in a construction environment.
* Full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
* Reliable transport to the site location in Carlisle.
