The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Normanton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers and Class 2 Drivers to join the team.
Shifts: Shifts across Monday - Sunday
Hours:
Afters - 14:00pm
Nights - 23:59pm
Pay Rate:
Class 2
Afters - £14.60ph
Nights - £15.61
Class 1
Afters - £15.75 rising to £16.50 after 12 weeks
Nights - £15.87 rising to £16.62 after 12 weeks
Location: Normanton WF6
Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
Minimum of 6 months on licence required
Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
Excellent communication skills.
A safety-first mindset.
