The Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day financial operations of the business and play a key part in its ongoing integration into the wider international group.
Working closely with the General Manager and Group Finance team, you’ll ensure robust financial control, accurate reporting, and strategic support for continued commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a small finance and office team.
* Oversee ledgers, reconciliations, and management reporting.
* Produce weekly dashboards and monthly management accounts.
* Manage month-end close, journals, accruals, and prepayments.
* Prepare VAT returns, tax payments, and statutory submissions.
* Support system and reporting integration with the group.
* Manage AP/AR, supplier payments, payroll, and the fixed asset register.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking.
* Partner with commercial and operational teams to drive business performance.
* Maintain compliance, governance, and safety standards.
About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working across operations and influencing at all levels.
Requirements
* Strong working knowledge of Sage or similar systems.
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) – desirable, not essential.
* Experience within renewable energy, waste management, or manufacturing is an advantage.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Confident communicator with a proactive, analytical mindset.
