The Client:
Our client, a well-established and respected provider of Line and Base Maintenance services within the aviation industry, is seeking a Materials Controller to join their Logistics team. Operating across a network of international stations and supporting a wide range of commercial aircraft, our client is known for delivering high-quality MRO solutions to leading airlines. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and compliant flow of materials and tooling, supporting aircraft maintenance operations with efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory integrity.
Role information – Materials Controller
Location: Luton, UK
Working Hours: Full time / Permanent
Shift Pattern: 5,5,4 7pm to 7am NIGHTS
Salary: £34,000 basic +£3,000 shift allowance

Summaries of Duties: Materials Controller
* Ensure all received materials are correct, undamaged, and accompanied by valid release documentation.
* Book items into the QUANTUM system, quarantine items that fail inspection, and liaise with airlines to resolve any discrepancies.
* Store all acceptable materials securely.
* Maintain correct stock levels and monitor shelf life of components, materials, and tooling.
* Handle the return of unserviceable material to airline customers in a timely manner to avoid penalties.
* Manage the issue of materials to engineers and ensure stock control through QUANTUM and/or AMOS systems.
* Support audit compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
* Perform collections/deliveries to suppliers, couriers, and security where required.
* Undertake additional duties in line with operational needs, including supporting other locations when necessary.
In order to be successful in the role of the Materials Controller you will need to demonstrate the following:
* Previous experience in Aviation Logistics or Stores is preferred but not essential.
* Experience with QUANTUM and/or AMOS is advantageous, though full training can be provided.
* Technical Knowledge & Skills:
* Awareness of EASA Part 145 (training can be provided).
* Knowledge of goods-in inspections and airworthiness certification is desirable.
* High level of IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
* Physically fit to handle heavy/bulky items.

Education & Qualifications:
* Secondary school education.
* Strong command of written and spoken English.
Additional Information:
* Shift work is required; flexibility to work outside normal hours in a fast-paced, pressurised environment.
* Occasional travel to support other operational bases may be required.
* On-the-job and continuous training will be provided.
