What skills and experience we're looking for
* Graduate with Qualified Teacher Status
* Degree in the relevant subject
* Experience of teaching to GCSE and post 16 level
* Knowledge, understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion informed by practical experience and application
* Experience of working effectively with colleagues in a school to instigate change
* Knowledge, understanding and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
* Able to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with students
* Recent, relevant classroom practice
* An interest in and understanding of how children learn
* Knowledge of a range of teaching strategies
* Possess good working knowledge of assessment for learning approaches and their classroom application
* Good ICT skills and ability to use ICT to enhance teaching
* Knowledge of how literacy can be built into the curriculum
* Evidence of commitment to own and colleagues’ professional learning
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Commitment to positive behaviour
* A clear track record of achieving examination success with students of all abilities and background
* Ability to focus on children’s learning in devising teaching schemes and in working with colleagues on their teaching
