We are a well–established firm based in Central London, offering a full range of accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to start their career in accounting. The successful candidate will gain hands–on experience in financial reporting, taxation, and audit while working towards a professional accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
* Supporting tax computations and VAT returns
* Processing invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations
* Assisting with audit fieldwork and preparing documentation
* Liaising with clients and responding to queries
* Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards
* Supporting senior accountants with various ad–hoc tasks
Requirements
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
* Ability to work effectively in a team and manage workload efficiently
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to study towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
