Specialist Nurse - Cardiology

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full time, permanent)
Salary: Competitive, depending on level of experience, training and qualification.
Overview
We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterisation department in The Park Hospital.
Duties
* Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care within your area of specialism, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
* Support assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with complex or long‑term conditions.
* Provide education, support, and counselling to patients and families, empowering them to understand and manage their health conditions.
* Work collaboratively with consultants, GPs, allied health professionals, and other nursing colleagues to support integrated, patient‑centred care.
* Act as a resource for education and clinical development within your specialty.
* Lead or support audits, patient feedback initiatives, and quality improvement programmes related to your specialist area.
Requirements
* Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, or Mental Health, depending on specialty) with valid NMC registration.
* Significant post-registration experience in the relevant specialty area.
* Demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills within a defined field.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Must have extensive knowledge and specialism in inpatient and outpatient cardiology.
* Full competency in Invasive Cardiology Procedures.
