Main duties of the job
As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will provide high standards of personal care to our residents, ensuring their dignity, independence, and respect are maintained at all times. Your role involves understanding clinical risk areas and escalating identified risks promptly, respecting the individuality of each resident. You will work within a supportive and caring environment where you’ll have opportunities for personal and professional growth through comprehensive induction and training programmes.
Job responsibilities
* Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents, such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections, and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practicing safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
About you

* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

* Be able to adapt and be flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Requirements
* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
