Job Title Account Executive Reporting To Head of Sales & Marketing Location Home Based Business Centre As Above Purpose The main focus of this role is to support revenue generation across both the public and private sectors. This is effectively a telesales role to identify suitable contacts in target verticals; facilitate introductions; establish relationships; set appointments for field-based business development managers and proactively sell local government services and solutions Key Responsibilities Will include the following activities: Research and targeting: Working with the Head of Sales & Marketing and Business Development Managers to agree target verticals to generate opportunities including but not limited to Finance & Accounting; HR & Payroll, Customer Service services and other agreed new solutions; using a variety of tools (including LinkedIn, internet searches, purchased lists) to identify appropriate target individuals Telephone contact: Establish telephone contact with target individuals to generate a pipeline of opportunities for the Finance & Accounting; HR & Payroll; Customer Service and local government services and solutions. Also to include the initial qualification of any enquiries and marketing qualified leads Relationship building: The use of all communications tools to develop successful relationships with new contacts and exploit existing relationships to identify cross sell / upsell opportunities Appointment setting: To liaise closely with the Business Development Managers and set appointments for them for remote or face to face contact where appropriate Revenue generation: Working closely with the Business Development Manager (Public Sector) to actively promote and close opportunities with local government clients. Services and solutions to be promoted by the Account Executive include (but may not be limited to): Single Person Discount Review services Business Rates Review services Empty Homes Review services Anytime services Universal Credit Automation software CloudTools software DBS Service Reporting: Including daily / weekly reporting against KPI targets (e.g. number of calls made) and keeping CRM accurate in a timely manner Skills Minimum 2 years sales experience in a similar role Experience of selling the public sector (especially local government) is desirable “Hunter” mentality Well Organised Proactive / persuasive / persistent Strong Communicator Highly developed Interpersonal skills Self-Starter Innovative Hungry for success Experience of MS Dynamics CRM (or similar) The desire to advance to a Business Development Manager role in the future
