AECOM's Systems Engineering team in Warrington provides multi‑disciplinary consultancy to the nuclear industry, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and other security‑classified clients. We provide consultancy services to the nuclear new build, decommissioning sectors, MoD facilities, ITER and the DIO. Our Warrington office supports and provides an array of consultancy services to various diverse clients including the defence sector, providing multi‑disciplinary new‑build support to numerous clients, MoD supporting the Nuclear CASD providing new facilities across the UK Defence Infrastructure Organisation, the nuclear new‑build sector where we support the developers of the UK's fleet of new nuclear power stations, the decommissioning sector where we provide support to the entire Nuclear Estate, and joint ventures overseas, providing engineering expertise from cradle to grave.
Responsibilities
* Work within the Systems Engineering function to provide support to the Systems Engineering Discipline Lead in Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Interface Management and IVVQ.
* Interface with client technical and non‑technical teams, remotely and directly on‑site.
* Author and review technical documentation and processes.
* Apply Systems Engineering best practices and approaches to grow the Systems Engineering capability within the engineering team.
* Manage end‑to‑end lifecycle traceability and reporting to achieve certification and delivery.
* Work independently and as part of a team, liaising with engineers of different disciplines to ensure a complete and unified design.
* Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers to deliver projects from concept to completion.

Qualifications
* Experience and full understanding of Systems Engineering, the V‑model and associated processes/lifecycles.
* Degree qualified in STEM or a similar subject, or demonstrable engineering experience supported by appropriate qualifications.
* Chartered Engineer, or on the path to Chartered status with an appropriate institute.
* Currently SC cleared or able to meet SC requirements.
* Experience in highly regulated industries such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, and Nuclear.
* Experience in writing and formally reviewing high‑quality technical documentation.
* Experience in decomposing, authoring and managing System‑Level Requirements.
* Knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, methodologies, processes, techniques, and technology trends (SEBoK, INCOSE practices, NASA Systems Engineering, DOORS).
* Preferred additional qualifications/skills: team management and leadership, project management skills, criticality awareness, radiation awareness, HAZOP knowledge, nuclear site operations, nuclear decommissioning, nuclear new build, nuclear safety cases.
* Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously, strong sense of commitment, willingness to learn and work in a dynamic, deadline‑driven team environment.
