Support worker / Personal Assistant Required as soon as possible

We arelooking for a PA to join a small existing team to support my wife and I to live independently in our own home, supporting us with daily tasks and outings. We need you to help us to enjoy our future.
About the role:
* Assisting with personal care as requested by me or my wife in a sensitive and dignified manner
* Promoting independence with a person-centred approach
* Organising and supporting with social and physical activities
* Assisting to book and go to different appointments ie. GP, Hospital or specialist appointments.
* Helping your supported person to get to appointments, go shopping etc
* Assist with maintaining the domestic environment to the required standard
* Ensuring regard is given to Health and Safety along with Hygiene
* Monitoring of general health (for example measuring body temperatures or supervise / administering medication if requested by employer.)
* Assist with preparation of meals and shopping for these.
The kind of person I am looking for:
We are looking for a PA who has some flexibility with hours and may be able to cover additional holidays.
A person who is honest and outgoing.
A person who can give us time and understand how difficult it can be living with a disability
What you can expect from me:
My wife and I are both friendly and welcoming. We are fair, honest and will listen to you. We are proactive and will ensure you are supported appropriately and paid on time. A clear rota, that may have some agreed flexibility to meet hospital appointments etc.
Days and Times required:
6 hours per week - days/times to be agreed with successful candidate.
You will also need to have availability to cover sickness and annual leave as part of a team as much as notice as possible will be given)
Necessary Training-
* PA Induction certificate which will form part of the induction into the PA role -
* Moving and Positioning passport course
* Food hygiene
Hourly Rate:
£16.50 per hour

Additional information:
If not already in place you will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check before starting employment.
Please be aware that Flintshire Council is not the Employerc- we support individuals to employ their own care staff to meet their assessed needs / outcomes.
