Hyreus are hiring 2x Controls Technicians to join our client’s dynamic team. This role involves the commissioning, programming, troubleshooting, and servicing of advanced HVAC systems, including Chillers, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), and Air Handling Units (AHUs).
You’ll work on a range of projects, ensuring each system performs efficiently and reliably, while delivering exceptional service and support to customers.
Responsibilities
* Commission, program, and configure HVAC control systems including Chillers, ASHPs, and AHUs
* Carry out end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and servicing across assigned projects.
* Create and configure graphics, communication links, and control parameters.
* Diagnose and repair systems at customer sites to ensure optimal performance and satisfaction.
* Maintain and expand technical knowledge on the client’s direct digital control (DDC) systems, software, and equipment.
* Use the latest diagnostic tools, software, and instrumentation in line with blueprints and engineering specifications.
* Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality installations and system upgrades.
The Candidate
* Proven experience in a HVAC Controls, Commissioning, or BMS (Building Management Systems) role.
* Strong understanding of control systems for Chillers, AHUs, and ASHPs.
* Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus and BACnet.
* Experience with OEM or manufacturer-level systems is highly beneficial.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Willingness to participate in a fair standby and call-out rota, with occasional travel as required.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach
