ROLE ONE: Commercial Solicitor vacancy (NQ – 2 years)
If you are due to qualify shortly (and have completed at least one seat in Commercial) or have been qualified for up to two years and are looking for a fresh challenge with amazing colleagues, this role could be the perfect opportunity for you…
Sat within our wider Business Services Team, our Commercial team boasts one of the strongest teams in the local area. This role will be ideal for someone who wants to undertake a wide range of commercial, technology, intellectual property and non-contentious construction work. The caseload will include contract drafting and negotiation (including appointments, building contracts and warranties on construction projects) as well as advising on data protection and intellectual property matters and providing due diligence support on corporate and banking transactions.
We act across a wide range of sectors, but have particular expertise in technology, automotive and construction industries. The successful candidate may also have opportunities to work in-house for our clients on a remote or flexible basis and to assist with the in-house retainer services we operate – giving a unique insight into private practice and in-house work.
We require a highly developed sense of commercial and practical acumen – our clients are looking for real world solutions, not “perfect” theoretical answers. We are a growing team and firm and will expect you to be involved in a range of marketing and business development activities. We encourage solicitors to take a proactive role in building relationships with their clients and professional contacts and establishing their own network at an early stage. This may include presenting webinars or seminars, attending networking events, writing articles, LinkedIn engagement, client visits or meetings, and building internal relationships within the firm.
ROLE TWO: Commercial Solicitor vacancy (4 years PQE plus)
This role is based within our Commercial team, but will require you to work closely with the wider Business Services Team on business development activities.
We would expect a strong background in a wide range of commercial contract, intellectual property and data protection work. We can flex the role to take into account any specialisms or areas of expertise that you have or wish support to pursue. You will be sufficiently experienced that you can act without extensive supervision on a range of matters. We act across a wide range of sectors, but have particular expertise in technology and automotive industries. We accordingly require someone who can tailor their approach and presentation to the individual client.

Construction and Commercial Solicitor (non-contentious) vacancy
This role is based within our Commercial team, but will require you to work closely with the wider Business Services Team and our contentious construction solicitors on business development activities.
This role will be ideal for someone who wishes to develop a non-contentious construction law practice, whilst still having the opportunity to undertake a range of other commercial work. You will have the opportunity work with highly experienced partners in contentious and non-contentious construction work and have the ability to progress quickly with the growth of the practice.
We would expect a strong background in advising on construction law matters, including JCT and NEC contracts, together with general commercial contract knowledge. We will expect you to be able to demonstrate a commitment to this area of law.
