Robert Half are recruiting for an experienced IT Manager to join a growing HealthTech organisation based in Milton Keynes on an initial 3 month contract. This role will lead IT operations, infrastructure, service delivery, and cybersecurity within a fast paced, regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain all IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud platforms, endpoints, and core business applications
2. Ensure high availability, performance, resilience, and security of IT systems
3. Oversee 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support and act as the senior escalation point
4. Establish and continuously improve IT policies, procedures, and service standards
5. Allocate workload effectively and provide technical leadership to the IT function
6. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation
7. Plan and deliver system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements
8. Align IT initiatives with wider business objectives
9. Manage cybersecurity risks including vulnerability management, patching, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
10. Oversee third party vendors and enforce robust access control policies
11. Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to understand business requirements
12. Provide regular reporting on IT performance, risk posture, and ongoing initiatives
Experience Required:
13. Proven experience in an IT Manager or senior IT leadership role
14. Strong background in IT operations and service delivery management
15. Experience managing support functions and driving service improvement
16. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
17. Strong hands on expertise across infrastructure, networking, and end user computing environments
18. Proven experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, storage, security)
19. In depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Entra ID (Azure AD)
20. Strong administration experience across Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems
21. Hands on experience with Microsoft Hyper V virtualisation
22. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Intune and endpoint/mobile device management
23. Strong understanding of firewall technologies, network security principles, and the OSI model
24. Experience managing network switching environments
