We are seeking a Reservations Manager with a strong background in people managementto lead our reservations team. This role requires exceptional organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work closely with Directors, the Marketing Team, and external agents to ensure the effectiveness of our sales and marketing strategy.
Day to Day of the role:
• Lead and work hands-on with an office-based reservations team, generating holiday bookings through various channels including inbound calls, outbound calls, emails, and website leads.
• Train, mentor, and develop a team of 4 direct reports, ensuring they deliver a premium customer experience.
• Monitor holiday booking performance via online booking systems, including affiliates.
• Control hire fleet and department expenditure.
• Recruit, train, and motivate staff, optimising performance and monitoring costs.
• Develop and improve relationships with affiliates such as Hoseasons, Airbnb, Sykes, and Pitchup.
• Manage guest queries and complaints effectively.
• Expand the sublet programme and drive continual development and business change.
• Undertake specific training as required and promote safe working practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven managerial experience in reservations, hospitality, or accommodation-based environment.
• Strong revenue management and marketing background.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
• Customer-focused attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Exceptional organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and an understanding of CRM systems.
• Experience in a customer-facing and sales environment.
