The Team & Focus of the Role As part of our expansion plans for our Business Rates team we are looking to appoint an Associate/Senior Associate/Associate Partner, reporting to our Birmingham based team. You will be joining an ambitious but friendly & dedicated team who are committed to the best in service for their clients and wider colleagues throughout the business. You will need to have prior Business Rates experience, with a proven track record in Check Challenge Appeal (CCA) work. Alongside this, a strong work ethic, a passion for client care and drive to assist in the overall strategy for the department are also qualities that we’re searching for. This is a permanent full-time position on a 37.5-hour contract (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm), based in our Birmingham office. We are open to discussing flexible working and this role is part of our hybrid working policy. Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave An online money saving portal Death In Service cover, alongside access to an Employee Assistance Programme which includes health appoints for you and your family Volunteering Leave equating to 2 days per year (pro rata if you’re part-time) Duties will include: Obtaining instructs from clients & issuing contracts Completing inspections for a wide range of commercial properties including office and industrial buildings, along with non-bulk classes such as water works, schools and colleges etc Providing in-depth evidence-based analysis and Valuation Reports Working with the wider business to increase portfolio depth across the business Engaging with the Government CCA system to obtain Rating reductions for client companies Building positive & proactive relationships with existing and new clients Working with the Business Development Manager to secure new business opportunities The successful candidate will have Prior experience within Business Rates Chartered or Assoc RICS qualified (desirable) An interest in the sector & willingness to learn Experience working within the property sector Excellent client relationship skills Clear and professional communication skills - both written and verbal Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills A results driven approach A full driving licence Why Fisher German?
