Interim SENCO - Primary
Contract: January - Easter
Hours: Preferably full-time, but part-time applications are welcome.
We are supporting a Primary School in the East Midlands to appoint an experienced Interim SENCO from January through to Easter!
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupil support and inclusion during a key part of the academic year.
What you'll be doing:
In this role, you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school, ensuring that all pupils with additional needs receive high-quality support. Working closely with teachers, support staff, external agencies, and families, you will ensure personalised plans and interventions are well-managed and effective.
* Oversee and manage SEND provision throughout the school.
* Maintain and update SEND records, provision maps, and EHCP documentation.
* Coordinate and deliver appropriate interventions.
* Work with class teachers to support inclusive practice.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and outside professionals.
* Support the school’s strategic vision for inclusion and pupil progress.
What we're looking for:
* Qualified teacher with SENCO qualification (or significant SENCO experience).
* Strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively, lead confidently, and build positive relationships.
* Proactive, organised, and committed to promoting inclusive learning.
