The ServiceNow Application Developer Role
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and self-driven ServiceNow Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and responsible for daily interactions with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver quality solutions using the ServiceNow platform. This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow capabilities, best practices, strong problem-solving skills, creative solution building, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
What makes this role interesting?
* Platform Development and Configuration: Implement and maintain features in ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SPM, AppEngine, Custom Applications, and Service Portal. Work on platform capabilities like Predictive Intelligence, Flow Designer, Virtual Agent, Workspaces, Catalog Builder, UI Builder. Develop, configure, and maintain custom modules, forms, and workflows based on business requirements. Optimize platform functionalities through scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Glide API) and automation. Automate workflows to streamline business processes.
* Integration and Reporting: Monitor system performance and optimize it proactively. Manage existing and build new platform integrations with enterprise tools and third-party applications. Support business stakeholders with advanced reporting to maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs for actionable insights.
* User Support and Training: Act as L3 support for complex issues, write technical documentation, define user interfaces, assist with testing, and develop training materials. Stay updated with ServiceNow developments and share knowledge with the team.
* Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with ITSM best practices, maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and workflows.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
* Become a trusted subject matter expert for the ServiceNow platform.
* Build relationships with internal customers and understand organizational processes.
* Formulate creative solutions to complex business problems.
* Lead the expansion of ServiceNow capabilities as part of the ITSM team.
* Be a key technical contributor to projects and new platform features, continuously expanding your knowledge.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
* Language: Business-level English, spoken and written. English is our corporate language.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience: 3-5+ years in ServiceNow development/administration, proficiency in ITSM modules, knowledge of platform capabilities, and experience with APIs and integrations. Certifications like ServiceNow CAD and ITIL are preferred.
* Technical Skills: JavaScript, Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, APIs, HTML/CSS, Angular, PowerShell (plus). Strong debugging skills.
* Soft Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, customer service focus, collaboration, and effective communication. Self-motivated and able to work independently or in teams.
