Overview
Capel Manor College is looking to recruit a part-time HR Advisor to join its busy Human Resources Department. The HR Advisor is a generalist role with a particular focus on employee relations. The post will be based on site at the College's campus in Enfield with some travel to other sites required. This is a part-time position, working 14.4 hours per week. The actual salary is £12,265.60-£12,940.80 inclusive of London Weighting. This is a fixed-term position for 6 months in the first instance.
Responsibilities
* Support employee relations casework and provide management training to deal with such issues.
* Prepare routine and ad hoc reports, such as the staffing establishment report, reports for the Senior Leadership Team, and committee papers for the Governing Body.
* Handle statutory returns (e.g., Further Education Workforce Data Collection and Gender Pay Gap report) and respond to freedom of information requests where HR information is required.
* Support other HR activities including policy development, staff sickness management, and contractual changes.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience working on complex employee relations cases would be advantageous.
* Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and to deadlines.
* Ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and handle difficult issues sensitively.
* A CIPD qualification would be advantageous.
