We are currently looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to help support us in delivering work within our United Utilities framework. As a Structural Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting site inspections and assessing existing structures for repair and/or replacement
* Designing new structures and/or modifications to existing structures using appropriate design codes and standards
* Preparing detailed structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports
* Coordinating with other disciplines (e.g., process, mechanical, electrical) to ensure that structural design is fully integrated into overall project design
* Participating in design reviews, project meetings, and construction site visits
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and drafters

Requirements for this role include:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
* Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership
* Experience in the water and wastewater industry
* Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards)
* Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., Staad Pro, ETABS, SAP2000)
* Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
