Design Engineer Bolton £35-42k The Company The company has been operating for a number of years successfully and supply sub contract sheet metal and fabrication services into various industries. Due to growth they are looking to add a Design Engineer to the small team of 3 that they have. Projects can vary from conceptual designs to amending drawings. There is scope for progression into a more senior role in the future. The role of Design Engineer:- * Create and develop drawings through the use of Solidworks. * Pre-Production drawing reviews. * Prepare drawing files for quotation purposes. * Good document control systems and part numbering. * Liaise with Manager to ensure all projects are run smoothly * Liaise closely with customers on drawing specifications * An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods * A knowledge of material properties * Knowledge or experience of working with an MRP system. * Have a sound knowledge of engineering design principles Experience * Proficient in 3D software (Solidworks/Ineventor) * 3 Years experience in Sheet Metal/Fabrication Design * HNC/HND/Degree Qualified * Full UK Driving License Ideally the Design Engineer will be:- * Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills. * Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills * Experienced using ERP or MRP systems * Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills * Ability to work on own initiative * Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment * Ability to work cooperatively with others to complete tasks and implement process improvements * Knowledge of Microsoft packages NOTE:- The company are not able to offer sponsorship now or in the future.
