Our service users primarily have mental health conditions, with some also having secondary diagnoses such as paranoid schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, emotionally unstable personality disorder, bipolar disorder, substance and alcohol misuse, and autism.

Support activities include supervising medication, assisting with living skills, making and attending appointments, community support, shopping, life skills, managing bills, and engaging in local activities like college, arts and crafts, and volunteering. A typical day involves medication management, on- and off-site support, recovery planning, health and safety checks, compliance with local authority standards, and high-quality paperwork.

Ideal staff members are resilient, adaptable, active listeners, approachable, friendly, and capable of maintaining good boundaries. Teamwork and a consistent approach are essential, as our service users notice and respond to staff consistency. The role requires managing stressful situations and supporting individuals under the influence of substances.
