As a Product Planning Manager you’ll work at the heart of this ambition, helping us create digital, data-led, and customer-first experiences that transform lives and businesses across the country.

Why join this team

The Product Planning Manager plays a critical role in shaping and communicating the strategic narrative for the Home and Transformation Product Organisation. Working with senior leadership across the team, the role holder will ensure we plan for and deliver a consistent customer and market focused product roadmap. This role ensures that all change initiatives, whether launching new products, moving customers between offerings, or introducing new content are strategically aligned, customer-informed, and clearly articulated across the business. The role holder will be the key interface with the rest of the organisation for the interlocks with Strategy, Marketing & Commercial, Marcoms, and beyond. By working across senior leadership and delivery teams, the role holder will coordinate and drive activity with a single-minded focus on maximising the impact of portfolio changes. This is essential to support improvements in Net Promoter Score (NPS), base growth, and net adds.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Own and evolve the strategic customer narrative for the Home and Transformation Product Organisation, ensuring it reflects the full scope of change across the portfolio
* Coordinate and align product change initiatives across the Home Product directorate, including product launches, migrations, and content introductions, ensuring they are customer-centric and commercially impactful
* Leverage customer insight and behavioural data to inform and validate change strategies, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and aligned with customer needs
* Work across Agile delivery teams, embedding the customer narrative into sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, and release planning to ensure consistent delivery of value
* Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from senior directors to product squads, to ensure alignment and effective execution of success plans
* Maintain visibility across roadmaps for the Broadband & TV and Migrations tribes, identifying interdependencies and aligning initiatives to meet business objectives
* Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial, Channel and Operations, as well as Networks Data and Engineering teams to ensure effective and aligned planning to support all deliverables
* Champion Agile ways of working, fostering a culture of iterative delivery, continuous feedback, and cross-functional collaboration

What We’re Looking For

* Exceptional communication and storytelling, with the ability to distil complexity into clear, compelling narratives that resonate across technical and non-technical audiences
* Strong organisational and coordination skills, with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
* Data-driven mindset, leveraging customer usage data, NPS, and network performance metrics to inform product strategy
* Financial acumen, including the ability to assess ROI, P&L opportunities, and evaluate investment cases for new initiatives. Ability to align product strategy with commercial goals
* Performance tracking & KPI Management – ability to use financial KPIs (e.g., churn, customer lifetime value, acquisition cost) to monitor product health and inform strategic pivots
* Skilled in Agile tools and practices (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Kanban boards)

What’s In It For You

* 10% on target bonus
* BT Pension scheme, minimum 5% Employee contribution, BT contribution 10%
* From January 2025, equal family leave: receive 18 weeks at full pay, 8 weeks at half pay and 26 weeks at the statutory rate. It’s for all parents, no matter how your family is made up
