As a Ramp Team Leader, you will oversee the smooth, timely, and safe processing of passenger baggage and cargo, and manage Ground Support Equipment (GSE) during aircraft turnarounds. You will lead and support your team in the Ramp and Baggage Hall, ensuring high performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Support: Lead, mentor, and support your team to ensure effective ramp and baggage hall operations, fostering safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
2. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with company policies, airline and airport protocols, and regulations. Stay updated on procedures and policies.
3. Operational Oversight: Oversee the use of GSE and equipment, ensure operational efficiency, conduct preventative maintenance, and perform inspections.
4. Problem Management: Handle baggage and freight issues accurately and efficiently, communicating with relevant supervisors.
5. Turnaround Inspections: Perform regular inspections of ramp operations and GSE, addressing discrepancies promptly.
6. Communication & Collaboration: Maintain effective communication across departments to maximize safety and efficiency.
7. Performance Management: Ensure team meets performance expectations through briefings and reviews.
8. Incident Reporting: Report and document incidents immediately following procedures.
9. Health & Safety: Participate in safety meetings and contribute to safety improvements.
10. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support operations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in aviation or airport operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
* Ground handling experience in a similar role.
* Full UK driving license.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
* Flexible and adaptable to workplace challenges.
