Principal Civil Engineer

As the Principal Civil Engineer you will be leading multidisciplinary projects, ensuring technical excellence and delivering results that matter. You will have ownership of project direction and act as a key technical lead, guiding teams and helping to secure new work.
You will be:
·Leading projects of varying sizes and complexity from inception through to completion.
·Managing resources effectively to deliver quality design and robust outcomes on time and on budget.
·Coordinating with architects, building services, cost managers and other disciplines to drive a seamless delivery.
·Overseeing project administration, including financial management and reporting.
·Identifying new work streams and preparing compelling technical proposals.
·Leading external engagement with clients, stakeholders and approval bodies.
·Undertaking technical site visits to assess design solutions and resolve issues on site.
To be successful in this Principal Civil Engineer role you will ideally have:
·Proven experience in a similar civil engineering role, ideally within a multi-disciplinary environment.
·Professional Chartership (CEng) or a strong commitment and path to becoming chartered.
·Membership (or aspiration to join) a relevant professional body such as the Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.).
·Proficiency in AutoCAD, especially Civil 3D, with additional tools like Infodrainage desirable.
·Strong drainage and minor roadway design experience.
·A comprehensive understanding of Section 38, Section 278 (Highways Act) and relevant Water Industry Act agreements.
·Familiarity with Building Regulations, British Standards and BIM processes.
·A collaborative, communicative approach with the ability to lead and mentor teams.
