This position could be an opportunity for an internal secondment, with approval from your current line manager.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the Role

The AccessAbility Service is part of the wider University's Wellbeing Service provision. Our vision is to offer accessible and flexible support for the whole range of disabilities that may impact upon student learning; health and wellbeing are crucial ingredients of effective study and play a key role in helping students enjoy a rich and fulfilling student experience.

We are seeking to recruit a flexible and adaptable AccessAbility Advisor to join our highly skilled and committed team on a fixed-term basis.

About the role

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join an innovative service, allowing you to develop your skills and engage in inclusive new projects. We are currently developing and extending our support to prospective and current students who declare a disability. The post holder will need to work as part of a team, whilst also being responsible for their own individual work. There will be a need to work credibly with academic and professional services staff within the University as part of this role.

About you

You will be a skilled and experienced disability practitioner with a thoughtful and adaptable approach to your work and a real interest in managing challenging situations whilst sensitively supporting students. You will have demonstrable experience working directly with students with a range of disabilities in a support capacity.

You will also be committed to the advancement of disability services and widening access to this important student community.

We are always keen to hear from relevant education, health or experienced social care practitioners interested in supporting students with a range of disabilities in a university setting.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
